This style, compared to my other style (Digg: Fluid, Fixed left-bar, No Burieds Stories), is much simpler and elegant. It locks the top menu to the top, thus making it accessible without having to scroll all the way back to the top, and the paging section is locked right below it, making it more accessible, as well. In addition, this will also removes all ads on the site and any story that you "bury". Lastly, if something isn't working for you with this style, let me know and I'll be sure to fix it. *** IMPORTANT: This style works perfectly with my "Digg.com Mirror" script (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/8262) *** ===================== Release Notes ===================== [2010-01-28] * Version 2.0 of this style was released. So, after "modding" two styles, I feel it is time I contribute something of my own to this site, and this is the first of several to come. As you can see from the screenshots, it's quite an overhaul, and I must say I am VERY happy with the results. Key Features: - No ads, anywhere! - A dedicated header for the search area, which is easy on the eyes, and has a nice focus/no-focus effect when you input text. - Removed any, and I mean ANY, excess text from the site. - Reduced the size of text in the results page. - Better spaced the results. - Removed the old numbering (1.:, 2.:, etc.), and added a custom counter of my own, with a nice prefix as well. - Marked "visited" links as "crossed out", and "disabled" their responsiveness to the mouse. (They are still active and functional, just don't look like it) - Moved the "found results" message to the top, and fixed quite alot of its grammer. (As much as the current CSS methods let me anyways) Any bug reports, comment
I came across this great site that let's you proxy surf websites without the need for any proxy settings in the browser, but it was so ugly I just had to do something about it. Hope this makes your life easier.
This style is based on Hide Gmail/Google Appbar by sewpafly. I removed the ugly backgrounds, and replaced the somewhat vague "globe" icon with a more visible green arrow icon. I also fixed the positions of the icon and the menu, so they look better and fit nicely with the rest of the Gmail layout. The green arrow, by the way, is the "go-next" icon from the Tango Icon Gallery. ------- Update [11.09.06]: For some reason I gave the credit of the original style to the wrong user. Sorry about that, sewpafly. I made the domain change a while ago, but I guess I neglected to update the online version afterwards. Thanks for writing me about your version, sewpafly, for I would have never remembered to look at my code again. :D
