27bslash6.com - readability

The site is funny to read, but the author apparently doesn't like anyone being able to read the text. Stylish to the rescue! :D

4chan - customized orange favicon

Orange favicon for 4chan.org: tab, URLbar, and site bookmark. I made this for my friend MedriFogmatio (I hardly EVER visit 4chan myself), but it's free for anyone to use. I used Custom Digg Icon as a template.

Addons - Stylish | Userstyles theming

Adds a smooth gray background to the heading of "User Styles" in the extensions view, and connects it to the list box. This includes both the Add-ons window and sidebar view (if you have AIOS installed.) Does not modify the style editor window. This easily-modified style only affects one specific area, so I'm pretty sure it'll leave all your other styles/theme tweaks alone. Some of this code is included in my AIOS - Toolbar Skin (Strata40), although I commented it out to avoid overlapping styles. The gradient is inspired by the look and feel of userstyles.org: iStyles.

AIOS - Toolbar Skin (Strata40 0.6beta)

(work in progress) Looks best with Strata40 Tabs on Top, and with Aero enabled. Trying to update AIOS's vertical toolbar for the new [while still a beta] version of Strata40. Link to the beta version of Strata40: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/14284#install-beta] All comments welcome. Specify your StrataBuddy settings for any complaints; I don't necessarily use every theme variation. Note: there's a part in the code that needs to be changed (maybe) if you have the "Tabs on Top" option enabled in StrataBuddy. Updates: 3-13-10 - Oh man, so much stuff I can't even remember what all I've changed. Just go with it. :P 3-14-10 - added some very much needed "max-width: -moz-fit-content !important;" for the toolbar. also, I'm pretty sure this userstyle needs a "-moz-system-metric(windows-default-theme)" somewhere, but I can't target exactly where it would be required.

AIOS - Toolbar Skin (Strata40)

If you're using either the All-Glass or Glasser extension, you may have noticed the weird display issues with All-In-One Sidebar's transparency. I made this style to force the AIOS to "wear" a toolbar appearance, so that most of the Sidebar doesn't end up looking solid black. Unlike All-In-One Sidebar (AIOS) Glasser Mod [3.6], which is similar, this style only "skins" the AIOS toolbar and sidebar header. Looks great with the Strata40 theme by SpewBoy (http://spewboy.deviantart.com/art/Strata40-Beta-v0-2-132191373). This style is based on and/or includes: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ‘ All-In-One Sidebar (AIOS) Glasser Mod [3.6], with credit to everyone involved (I used parts of their code as a backbone); ‘ Wb Aero - AIOS All-in-one Sidebar was a great resource to get an idea of how the small icons should look. ‘ some CSS from SpewBoy's Strata40 theme ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The "Before" image shows the AIOS toolbar with no styles enabled. (using Strata40 theme) The "After" image, to state the obvious, is the A

AiOS Toolbar buttons | Firefox 4 beta style

Another of my AiOS/Strata40 integration hacks. Also includes a fix for the Download Manager button moving around when [checked="true"]. Oh, yeah, and the toolbar image is an exact copy of "chrome://browser/skin/toolbar.png" from Strata40 0.6beta4. Image designed by SpewBoy, who created the Strata40 theme. http://spewboy.deviantart.com/art/Strata40-v0-6-132191373 Still workin' on it, so let me know if there's any missing pieces or holes. **Copyleft, copyright and other exciting legal stuff!** [ Much of this code has been copied from the AiOS extension's CSS files. The original developer of All-in-One Sidebar is eXXile. (http://firefox.exxile.net/aios/index.php) I have, herein, made modifications and additions to his code, which is meant to improve upon and customize the existing appearance of the AiOS elements. ] EDITS: 6/7/10 - Added in more toolbar buttons, re-fixed the Download Manager button, etc. 7/27/10 - Fixed the Download Manager button to specify margin

AiOS Toolbar — buttons = buttons

Having been using the All-in-One Sidebar extension for a long time (I'd say since Firefox 2), I've been often frustrated by the obnoxious tendency of its toolbar buttons to shift around when the corresponding sidebar for that button is selected. (Also known, on the CSS-side, as [checked="true"].) Fixing the margins is a pain in the neck. So I figured, hey, why not just tell the AiOS toolbar to make all of its buttons LOOK LIKE TOOLBAR BUTTONS? Y'know, because that's what they actually are. ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Issues may arise with any toolbar buttons from extensions I don't use... The easy way to fix this is to not place those buttons on the AiOS Toolbar. :P The hard way is to add their button IDs to this script, or otherwise code new icons onto those buttons.

Better Bookmark Button Borders

When using a Persona for Firefox (rather than a theme) on Windows XP, the buttons on toolbars will look... weird when you hover over them. Like, "opaque, blocky Windows Classic tan-colored" styled buttons. I wanted to do a bit better than what my system and browser provided me. This style will give those buttons a glassy border image that still shows your awesome/pretty/super-cool Persona theme underneath. The glass button image(s) are borrowed from Wb Aero - Bookmarks Toolbar. If you want nav-bar buttons to get the same treatment, see Firefox - button borders (Nav-bar). UPDATES: 5/27/2010 - Fixed border-image margins a bit. 5/30/2010 - Changed comments to be a bit more helpful; added link to nav-bar style. 6/07/2010 - Adjusted margins. Those pesky buttons should quit fidgeting when you point at them. ;P 6/20/2010 - Adjusted padding. (same reason as last edit) 6/21/2010 - Added pressed-down border image. PLEASE let me know if this messes up anything. 8/20/2010 - Changed the name to something more alliter

Bookmark Folders - Fugue icons

Gives new icons to folders on the bookmarks bar. It should work with most themes. The Fugue icon set is used for this style. (http://p.yusukekamiyamane.com) Instructions are given in the code for further customization, if desired. I'm linking the 16x16 PNG icons from http://iconfinder.com -- to use other icon sets for personal use, search that site for "folder". Bookmarks Toolbar — Google site favicons

A bit of explanation first. First of all, most of Google's web apps and services each have their own site icons: Gmail, Google Docs, Google Reader, et cetera. So when you bookmark one (or more) of them, you'd expect your browser to consistently remember the favicon for each site, right? Well, for some reason Google doesn't let it do that. Google web apps/services will revert to the default Google favicon when the user is not logged in to their Google account. Sure, any Google site favicon living in your bookmarks bar will update to the correct one— ONCE you've logged in to your Google account, and not before. Sometimes, after you've logged out, it'll keep the right one in the bookmarks bar, but it will eventually change back to the Google.com favicon. Personally, I like to rely on recognition of a site's favicon, rather than the bookmark's text label. I'm wired to be primarily visual, see? So I made this userstyle to command the Google favicons in my bookmarks to SIT
