For Firefox 4 or later This makes the addons bar fold into its corner, making it appear with a nice animation when the mouse pointer is near the bottom right of the window. It does not prevent the use of the scrollbars in the corner. The buttons that you may put in the addons bar (which is actually the main point of this bar) are handled correctly. This has been tested and works fine on Windows XP and 7, and Linux. See also the "Barlesque" extension https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/barlesque/ , that provides a similar experience, with more control. For Firefox 4 or later This brings back the Feed indicator in the location bar. To make it work you have to customize your toolbar as such : Location Bar - Reload - Stop - Feed or Location Bar - Feed Known issues : - This prevents from resizing the search bar. Workaround : remove the Feed button, resize the search bar, then put the button back. - Does not work well with addons that modify the location bar. This is a fix to use the "Faviconize Tab" extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/3780/) with the "Charamel" theme (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/14313/).
This is what I need to use Personas with the Charamel theme on Firefox. In any other cases, this style is probably useless to you...
For Firefox Nightlies or Betas, with Tabs on Top. This renames the button from "Nightly" or "Aurora" or "Beta" to "Firefox", or "Menu" Note that you might need to restart Firefox to refresh the button size. For Firefox 4 or later This converts the button from the Secure Login extension (aka Magic Wand https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/4429/) into an indicator in the location bar. It is designed to work well with Firefox - Feeds Icon in location bar. To make it work you have to customize your toolbar as such : Location Bar - Secure Login or Location Bar - Feed - Secure Login or Location Bar - Reload - Stop - Secure Login or Location Bar - Reload - Stop - Feed - Secure Login Known issues : - This prevents from resizing the search bar. In Firefox 3.1 beta 2, the new "New Tab" button in the right side of the tabs bar is ridiculously small and quite hard to click. This makes it larger, so you can click it instead of snipe it ;) Starting from Firefox 3.1 beta 3 (that includes 3.5 and 3.6), the button is now the right size (and position !) most of the time, but is still too small when the tabs are overflowing, so this is still needed if you use dozens of tabs.
For Firefox 4 Nightlies or Betas This (mostly) fixes the tabs style on Firefox 4 with the Colorful Tabs extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/1368/ ) This has been tested only on Windows XP. Known issues : The tab color overflows slightly from the tabs. For Firefox 4 or later This makes the buttons positioned in the tab bar look like tabs. You can configure which tabs' appearance is modified. (Hint : apply the style several times with different parameters if you want a particular set of buttons.) This is the Linux only version. As in Bug 699362 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=699362 , show the bookmark toolbar when the new tab page is open. Note that : - It works only with tabs on top - It works only with Stylish - The "New Tab Page" must be activated ("browser.newtab.url" set to "about:newtab" in a nightly >= 2012-01-29)
