This removes everything I find annoying about Digg. -Remove all ads -Remove as many distractions as possible -Remove... well, a lot of things. What's left is the stories, and the comments.
This is a color variation of my other style for Digg: http://userstyles.org/styles/12026 It uses a dark background color, but then uses the blue and green base colors of digg as highlights and such. Preview can be found here: http://i40.tinypic.com/wbdq8j.jpg
I finally figured out the selectors needed to modify the download box in firefox, so this is a preliminary style that gives it a dark theme. If you normally have your download box set up as an independent window, then this style is good to go for you. If you normally have your download box in the sidebar, see the last comment in the code, and uncomment the last part of the style.
This slightly modifies the new layout of google's search results. 1) Removes sponsored links on the right 2) move the new search refining toolbox to the right instead 3) one or two other minor modifications. Right now, is set to work with google.com. For google.ca, etc., simply change the domain in the code.
This is basically whatever styles I've written for myself to use on Facebook, put into one style. Individually, most of them are too minor to warrant a single style, hence putting them all together. Included in this is: -All ads removed -Unused items removed - friend finder, and invite friends tools -Minor color change on basic information box -Input fields changed to have a white background instead of a grey one -All 'fan news' removed from the feed -Status updates have normal (small) size by default again -All yellow explanatory tags are removed -Wall posts have white background again, instead of blue -Facebook Chat color scheme change
This style does two main things: 1) It shortens the 'highlights' area found on the home page after the most recent update, and adds a scroll bar. This makes it a bit easier to see the items found beneath the highlights area (like pokes, friends you may know, etc.) 2) It removes the image/video preview pictures found with each highlight story. Again, I didn't find the previews to add anything useful to it, and this is a little more space efficient.
January 3, 11: Found a few new sponsored link sections and removed with #gb_muffin_area #pagelet_netego_ads .fbEmuEgoUnit, .fbEmuEgoUnitFirst selectors. April 3, 10: Contrary to claims made by people with competing styles... this style is still up to date, functional, and removes all ads I am aware of. If there are any that are missed, please let me know, and I will update this style accordingly. April 3, 09: Fixing up a couple of minor things which have popped up recently as facebook tweaks the new homepage layout. March 12, 09: Update - blah - why are they trying to turn facebook into twitter? Updated to remove some more random annoying sponsored link things which have popped up with the new layout. Will update more as anything else comes up with the new layout. March 11, 09: Update - Came across something new today. Facebook has apparently started adding polls/market research things in the live feed. These should be removed as per this update. August 28th, 08: Update
This gets rid of the yellow tags in 'new facebook' that explain some of the new features. It also removes the top bar that allows you to switch back to 'old facebook,' or send feedback.
This is just another short little style to modify the 'new facebook' design slightly. It makes wall posts have the old-style white background, as opposed to the new blue background - I found the blue made things look too busy.
This style makes all the input fields in the 'New Facebook' go back to having a white color, as opposed to the light gray color they have by default (which I find ugly :P). If there's any input fields I'm missing, let me know - I'll update as I find anything I missed, but I'm pretty sure I've gotten them all now. Aug 13th, 2008 - Gah! missed one - fixed now though :D Aug 15th, 2008 - Fixed so that fields for editing an event are white now too.
