*** NOT SUPPORTED AS OF LATE 2011 *** Here for nostalgia's sake. This does not support the new YouTube, and unless I find the time it will most likely not be updated. Feel free to take the code and play with it as much as you want. The "spoiler protection" feature, compatible with the new YouTube is now available here: Youtube - Hide Comments (and reveal on hover) ---------------------------- Watch your videos in a large format without comments or related videos getting in the way. Now with Spoiler Protection - comments (and related video titles) are hidden UNTIL you mouse over the comments area.
Youtube Dark Black - Simple and Effective The goal here was minimal css. Note: This has only been tested with the youtube.com/watch pages where videos are played & user pages. It is unknown how other parts of the site would look.
Replace round progress button with square button in HTML5 player.

This is my Dark Youtube skin, which makes Youtube appear darker for a few reasons. For one it doesn't wash out the colours from the video you're watching and surrounds it in black, so the video window is nothing but the colours you want to be seeing. Secondly it makes it easier on the eyes, which for me is the most important aspect of the whole thing. Keep in mind that I fix and update skins based on when I notice that they might need updating, or something is wrong. However, I don't always upload the results immediately (and sometimes the results get lost entirely). Please pardon my slowness in updates from time to time.
A few things bugged me about the new design, so here's my "fixed" version. It still maintains the overall new look, so don't expect any major overhauls... Main things the style changes: * The background to a plain off-white like it should be. * Removes the right sidebar (I've always found it a waste of space). * Makes your subscriptions feed wider and slightly more compact vertically. Some features have been made optional (see below).
[NOTICE!] This doesn't work with Firefox 100%! If you want this in Firefox, check out my other userstyle: Youtube - Lights out with CSS! _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Now that Stylish is released for Chrome, I decided to make Chrome version of "Youtube - Lights out with CSS!" Same thing as that older userstyle: when cursor is in page, Youtube looks normal. When it's not, page goes black and leaves only video visible. But now there's one new goodie: CSS animations! Yes, there's fade effect now also. I hope you like it :) P.S. Userscript should work in Chrome too, but it's much much slower to load in page. I don't recommend that. --- How to install --- 1. First you have to download "Stylish" extension for Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/fjnbnpbmkenffdnngjfgmeleoegfcffe 2. Install this pressing "Install with Stylish" --- Better preview pictures --- Before: http://img221.imageshack.us/img221
