App styles change the look of your browser's interface.
A very minimal style which replaces the orange Firefox button with a small, semitransparent, Windows 7-style button to match the window controls on the right hand side. This style is active in windowed and maximized mode. When the window is not in focus, it changes to look empty, like the window controls do. On hover, the button glows orange. Feedback is always welcome!
Description : When you use the browser for long hours, you suffer eye fatigue due to the bright background of most web pages as well as the browser. To remedy the browser problem please install (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1529) PitchDark theme of Firefox. But this solves only half of the problem. To remedy the appearance of web pages install Stylish Addon (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2108) and companion-I. However the style is independent of the theme and works equally well without it. It renders the web pages in subdued colors which complements the theme.
Makes your default Firefox blank tab's background color dark (about:blank)
For Firefox 10 and latest Firefox 11 Betas. Userstyle for latest Aurora 12.0a2 and Nightly 13.0a1 builds found here: Fx 12+ App Button as App Tab/Styled Tabs-WinXP This style makes the App menu button resemble a Iconized App Tab(pinned tab) when window is maximized with Tabs in Titlebar and minimizes the "window caption controls". This also modifies the appearance of inactive tabs making them more visible on Window OS Themes or Moderately dark Personas Themes and restores the "modern rounded tab styling" that was removed from "Windows OS only" due to Bug 570279, just prior to the releasing of Firefox 4. This also styles the Tab favicon and Urlbar favicon of New/Blank tabs and about:home . !Important! After applying this userstyle you may have to toggle the Window state from (Minimize to Maximize) or restart the browser, so the style will appear correctly. Tested on Firefox 5 and up to the latest Firefox Betas. Modified code from: foxxyn8 ChemE Firefox 4 - Move Tabs into Title Bar (Win XP)
This stylesheet replaces the background of blank tabs and windows with a repeating animated GIF of a glittering, starry sky, in the antiquated style of an amateur homepage from 1997. The image is stored inline as a data URI, so it doesn't rely on a server. The image is shamelessly pilfered from Olia Lialina's exceptional 'Vernacular Web 2' article: As you can see, the image below isn't really a screenshot; it's just the animated GIF itself. If you need help imagining the effect before downloading this style, just picture it with a status bar underneath, a tab bar above, and a scrollbar to the right. I hope you do not find the stars too big or the glittering too fast!
Use with Stratiform
Styles the Awesomebar (url-bar popup) menu to look more native, compact and beautiful. Autoresizes, so scroll-bars are history! Do give feedback on improvements, etc. If you really like it, suggest it as a default for Firefox?
Put the curve bases to the bottom of the selected tab. This is a solution for Bug 570279 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=570279 Thank Spewboy, I used some of his images and codes from his Stratiform add-on.
For Firefox 10 and latest Firefox Beta, Aurora, Nightly builds. This style Autohides Firefox's Bookmarks Toolbar with a 30 second delay and a fade away effect. When mouse cursor is placed above or over it reappears. (Note: Bookmarks Toolbar must be enabled for style to work.) To UN-hide the Navigation toolbar due to "In-Content UI" use style: Firefox 10 Unhide Nav bar due to "In-Content UI" Tested on Firefox 4 and up to the latest Firefox Beta, Aurora, Nightly builds.
