I got tired of a lot of dark Google Reader mods that did not suit my taste so I took the already aesthetically pleasing Helvetireader and customised it to my own colour preference. Based off the Helvetireader 2 Fixed by purpler. I used an overall Grey/Dark background with Lime Green accents. There may be some residual red icons from the original theme and the Home page isn't quite contrasting, but everything else works as it should. I'll fix those 2 bits for a more integrated theme once I have the time.
Borrowed bits from New Google Reader Compact and Google Reader (G+ Edition) - More Vertical Space to create a more minimal and compact Google Reader+ interface. I'll get around to adding some color back at some point.

Now included in Lifehacker's Better GMail 2 Firefox Extension: http://lifehacker.com/346013/better-gmail-2-gets-four-new-features-plus-skins Thanks guys! A compilation of designs and tweaks (thanks to Paulfox and lan @ userstyles.org, marteau @ userscripts.org, and countless others (who I just can't remember, but appreciate) from whom I snipped bits of code). This is my first style. I'm not a programmer, and my code might not be consistent, so please be kind. ;-) A larger version of the screenshot: http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/6121/gmail3uq8.png Specifically, here is a list of all the items this style will change: * Default font is changed to Segoe UI, Tahoma, or Verdana. * Background for interface (not individual messages) is changed to light gray. * GMail logo is replaced by one which does not have the Beta graphic. * Storage info/usage is moved to the top right. * Buttons are rounded and are light gray, with yellow hover effect. * The blue line below t
Update the Google Reader interface to use the Solarized color scheme by Ethan Schoonover (http://ethanschoonover.com/solarized). See also Gmail - Solarized (Light).
Dark theme for Google. Not finished yet, but the main search page and the images page look OK, if you use a dark Windows theme, and depending on the modules you are using. A style for Google Reader that styles it like Mail.app. Its not trying to be original or ‘better’ than the default theme, it’s just trying to make it look like a Mac OS X app! As the original CSS was too large to accepted onto userstyles, you have to load the fancy-schmancy loading graphic separately: http://userstyles.org/style/show/2336
