Original Style was written by Na’Design for Safari it is CC-Licensed and so I ported it with a few changements to Firefox. It is a clear beautiful - pure Design to Google Reader.
NOTE: This is the old version of Google Reader Mac OS Lion UI. it's maintained here temporarily until google adds new google bar to the google apps for business) If you're using google reader with your personal account, and have the new google bar you should use the official user style here: http://userstyles.org/styles/55956/google-reader-mac-os-lion-ui
* Updated for the New Google Reader * An extremely minimal design focussed purely on the readability of the current article. If you care for a no-distraction reading experience this is for you. Some less used features are hidden. Left navigation is visible only on hover to not distract you while you are reading. A few Google Reader shortcuts - j,k,u, f,1,2,o etc. Chrome extension - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/fdnglondfcmoiakaolanlglfchdhkdgc
Modifies the colors on Googlereader. * This css is modified based off of Naveed's "Dark Reader" * found at http://userstyles.org/styles/3918 * I have tried to mimic the color schemes found in Valacar's * Dark Blue redesign(vC) found: http://userstyles.org/styles/843 * * All code is hacked up but, I wanted to let Valacar know * that users would like to see his blue theme transformed for * google reader. All work was done by Valacar and Naveed, then * modified by me. I take no credit for the work they have done. * * * Thanks to : Valacar for his inspiration. Naveed for his Dark reader.
A Dark Static version of Google - Dark Shiny Blue, transparency. For iGoogle, Google Search, Google Maps, Google Reader, etc. 9/1/10 - synched with Google - Dark Shiny Blue, transparency (fixed iGoogle search type results dropdown, and a few gadget input fields for Wikipedia and Google Translate) 5/14/10 - Synched with Google - Dark Shiny Blue, transparency (themed Firefox Start page - www.google.com/firefox), fixed image search frame.
Description : When you use the browser for long hours, you suffer eye fatigue due to the bright background of most web pages as well as the browser. To remedy the browser problem please install (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1529) PitchDark theme of Firefox. But this solves only half of the problem. To remedy the appearance of web pages install Stylish Addon (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2108) and companion-I. However the style is independent of the theme and works equally well without it. It renders the web pages in subdued colors which complements the theme.
Clean. Compact. Tahoma-ed. One line on top. Small buttons. No logo. No red borders. No red subscribe button. No plusone shit. No google navigation panel (toggle on hover). No searchbar (toggle on hover). Old blue Gооgle Reader style. Enjoy...
A few tweaks to the new Google Reader design: * Compact. * Touch of blue. * Tone down the Big Red Button. Now with a few fixes and extra tweaks.
This is a mashup of a number of userstyles that I have been using over a period of time. I think it is almost perfect but there is no doubt room for improvement. Having tried a lot of styles I find this perfect for my own taste. I actually use it with Mozilla Prism which allows Stylish to be installed as an addon giving you all the Stylish goodness in a WebApp. Some people might not like the fact I removed the action bar and dialogs. Please feel free to unhide them if you want to. The screenshot is cropped to get it under the required size for posting. All credit goes to the original authors. I just mashed it up. Enjoy! ****UPDATE***** Slight change to show item footer action details on hover
I took the style created by oltra & Ka Yue, and tweaked it a bit more to my liking. Specifically: 02/09/2008: for the list view, I made the font colors a bit less bright, made the titles bold, and increased the line-spacing 02/09/2008: for each entry I changed the font size back to normal and made it so that images show up. I think that's it. It's a work in progress which I hope to add to by stealing other bits and pieces from some of the other Dark Google Reader scripts out there - watch out script writiers, no one is safe! Levi What follows is a change log of what has been updated along with the date: 02/11/2008: I've substituted images so far for: the star - both the highlighted and non-lighted versions - to make them look better than the default, which were designed for a white background. 02/11/2008: Added some more descriptive comments in the script - I'm hoping to add more to help newbies out with editing various parts of this style 02/11/2008: Changed the
