Note: I don't know if the "Tab Progress Bar" works in Firefox 4. Anyway, I'm not using it any more. This style is no longer maintained, but will be available for a while anyway, since it's still quite popular. DESCRIPTION: This style styles the Tab progress bar from ”Tab Progress Bar” and ”Tabberwocky” extensions. Features: + Makes it thin + Places it on the tab's top border + Ability to change its colour + Applies shadow + Expands it to the start of and the end of the tab + Removes the background (or lets you choose one) + Ability to remove the progress line on selected tab + Supports the four options of browser.tabs.closeButtons automatically (See RECOMMENDATIONS) + Compatible with protected tabs (tested with ”Tabberwocky, ”Tab Utilities” and ”Tabloc” extensions) + Easy to optimize it to work with other themes, userstyles, extensions etc. (See COMPATIBILITY and EDITING)
You must install Tabs Mix Plus and change min & max tab width to 34px. -Make FF4 all glass -Change about:home favicon to home icon and feedly favicon to feed icon. -Uploader link with favicon (on the left side, if you combine with universal & rapidshare link checker userscript, on every download link of Rapid, mega, mediafire,... will have an icon show you what file server host those link and a green/red icon on the right to check if the link alive or dead) -Increase active tab width to 150px (Combine with Tabs Mix Plus, it will create an effect that faviconize all inactive tabs.) * I do all this stub for my own.
Keep the Tabs Bar Size to a Readable Minimum Size. The purpose of a browser is to read web content not to lose valuable real estate for content you already know what it says. Along the lines of providing more space see my other styles as well.
This style will resize inactive tab to 34 px, move favicon to the middle of the tabs and turn back to normal size when hover. The active tabs width are still normal.
Places the Tab bar on top of Firefox's window and makes it transparent for Glasser extension (http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=649449) to apply Window Vista's Aero effect upon it. If you have a menu bar shown; it will be placed below it, I suggest using a menu-bar hider extension such as Hide Menubar to make the effect more pleasant. The colours of the selected and hover labels of the text can obviously be adjusted by altering the required CSS properties in the tab hover and tab selected sections at the very bottom of the file. Enjoy! Please Note: There is a strange bug which when only one tab is open, the bar is rendered completely white. To work around this you must set the value "browser.tabs.autoHide" to false, in the hidden about:config page in Firefox. History: 0.1 - 8th-Sept-2008: Initial Release 0.2 - 9th-Sept-2008: Cleaned up CSS and fixed a minor bug with all windows of Firefox having a 30px padding on the top. 0.3 - 9th-Sept-2008: Made the tabs
Adds a shadow effect to the active tab and makes inactive tabs transparent. Works with tabs on top or bottom.
**** Firefox 3.6 users and above should use Tab Color Underscoring active/read/unread (Fx3.6 ) (24728) along with an experimental extension described there. **** Colors the bottom border of a tab with RED for active tab, BLUE for a normal tab, GREEN for a still unread tab. In other words distinguishes tabs as active tab, viewed tab, unviewed tab. Does not affect the background color of a tab so that color usage of "Perma Tabs" ("Perma Tabs Mod"), and/or "Multiple Tab Handler" extensions will prevail. Bottom border color will show up even if tabs on the tabs bar have been squeezed down so much that only the favicon can be seen. ================================================= Please vote on getting Bug 487242 fixed to regain full benefits of this style in Firefox 3.6 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487242 Test code can be found in Tab Color Underscoring active/read/unread (Fx3.6 ) but you will need the TabVisited extension only found in Bug 487242 ================================================= An unread tab i
