I like to drag the bookmark toolbar up on the main menu toolbar. Once there, it needs to be a little more visible.
Updated for Firefox 3, where it seems "bookmarks-ptf" is now now named "bookmarksBarContent". Thanks to Eric Wendelin (http://eriwen.com/) for figuring this out. I also changed the background colour.
Install options
- Install Stylish for Firefox, Thunderbird, Flock, Mozilla Suite, SeaMonkey, or Songbird. If you have Stylish already, make sure you're using the latest version and have JavaScript enabled.
- You need Firefox with Stylish to use this style. Get it now, then Install Stylish, then come back here to install this style.
- - load into the Stylish extension where you can preview and save it.
- - this style has been updated since you installed it in Stylish.

I split my bookmark toolbar with extension buttons so this is pretty nice.

Absolutely brilliant, one of the best on here, and something I worked on but couldn't do myself. Terrific - thank you very much. I use a single toolbar. Not only is this a keeper, it's a necessity IMO.

Nice idea. But it colors anything else that is on the bookmarks toolbar (for me I have forcastfox in the bookmarks toolbar and it colors that, but I don't want that).
