Firefox has a setting for specifying font for web page encoding but the setting is overridden by site specific css.\r\n\r\nWhy need this:\r\n\r\nOn Windows prior to Vista (XP / 2000), the default font for traditional / simplified Chinese is MingLiu (細明體) / SimHei (黑体) which looks very edgy and not very too legit, not the mention that they ain't clear type (ie: doesn't take advantage of sub-pixel rendering on LCD monitors)\r\n\r\nStarting from Vista, MS has included a much better set of ClearType fonts called Microsoft JhengHei (正黑體) and YaHei (雅黑体) as default fonts for traditional  / simplified Chinese.   XP user can download and those fonts from Micorsoft: \r\n\r\nMS JhengHei - http://www.microsoft.com/DownLoads/details.aspx?familyid=87E726A9-5C79-4A73-9347-78A557314D0B\u0026displaylang=en\r\nMS YaHei - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=b15774c0-5b42-48b4-8ba8-9293fdc72099\u0026displaylang=en\r\n\r\nSee also: \r\nUse Microsoft Yahei (雅黑体) Font for all site (http://userstyles.org/styles/24831)\r\nUse Microsoft JhengHei (正黑體) Font for all site (http://userstyles.org/styles/24831)\r\n","author":"dsiu","created":"2009-06-18T06:48:57.000Z","created_ago":"almost 17 years","updated":"2009-09-04T06:42:21.000Z","updated_ago":"almost 17 years","category":"site","subcategory":"hk","weekly_installs":5,"total_installs":8087,"rating":"good","isPremium":false,"screenshot":"https://userstyles.org/style_screenshot_thumbnails/18810_after.png?r=1781107375","license":null}
